ABOUT IMMEDIATE MODE INTERACTIVE
 
  1. •IMI is a collective of developers and artists dedicated to immediate and long-term advancement of Java gaming technologies. IMI will achieve this through promotion, research and development, tool development, support and training, and community participation.
  2. •IMI is not a virtual company, but it is distributed and very network-oriented.
  3. •IMI promotes the use of Java and Java3D in top-quality game development.
  4. •IMI develops tools for game development for any Java platform, including applications and APIs.
  5. •IMI provides training and support for the tools we develop as well as other development tools such as Java APIs and popular industry content production tools such as Maya and Photoshop.
  6. •IMI is an LLC or Limited Liability Company.
  7. •An LLC is owned by its members. They are analogous to partners in a partnership or shareholders in a corporation, depending on how the LLC is managed.
    An LLC may be managed by its members (owners) or by selected managers.
  8. •If the LLC is to be managed by its members, it operates much like a partnership. Each member has an equal say in the decision making process of the company.
